LIVING HOPE JUNIOR ACADEMY

The Academy was started in 2007 purposely to give education to orphans and poor children in the community whose parents have died of HIV/AIDs and other natural diseases. The school runs from Kindergatten to grade 1, 30 children at the school and 16 are going to other schools.

When we realized the need and the increasing number of orphans and needy children in the community, we thought that only way we could help these children to shape their future is to give them education. We looked at these children as the future leaders of tomorrow who will spearhead development and change in community.

Living Hope organization desires to raise these children in a Christian home environment. Most of these children were psychologically traumatized and they need to be rehabilitated in the society. But because of the limited funds we couldn't stay with them but there are some families who volunteered to accommodate them for sometime as we raise funds to build a school and a home for them on the 5 acres of land land we acquired.

Just recently our former Landlord sold off the premises to the Muslim landlord, we have to re-locate our school land along Mityana Rd. 60KM. Because of the religious conflicts between Muslims and Christians, the landlord gave us 3 months to leave the premises. Our most worry is where these children going if the premises is closed by December.

This is a critical point for our school; we are raising funds to build ahome, kitchen, toilet and bathrooms at our land. We therefore call for your generous support financially and prayer to do what we could to build the school and a home.
